We are looking for Network Fibre Installation Engineers who are determined to progress in this career path. Experienced engineers are preferred but we are willing to train those who are determined to grow with us. We have been investing in our candidates by passing on knowledge, providing accredited training and mentorship, ultimately leading the engineer to become more valuable  and earn higher wages as they build their experience.

Job duties:

– Cable pulling (fibre optics cable)

– Rode & rope (Using rods to prove underground ducts)

– Physically fit, able to cope with performing ground works activities and cable pulling

– Adhere to all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies

- Surveying

- Splicing and Testing

Requirements:
Experience preferred, however willing to train the right candidates

  • Be prepared to undergo a DBS check.

  • Full UK driving license

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Be prepared to undergo NRWSA accreditation.

  • Willing to stay long-term and grow a career within the company

Description

Reporting to the Fibre Delivery Manager or Project Manager, the Network Build Supervisor will be responsible for coordination, administration and monitoring of Field engineers for FTTX projects on existing / new network build involving civil engineering, underground/overhead fibre (TRR, cabling, splicing, testing) works assigned by Tastro Clients.

Job duties:

  • Management of day to day project delivery within different geographical areas as assigned to the teams  job packs developed from the Fluidity Master, including delivery to Airband requirements and or othern client work , safety, quality, street works, supplier/ contract  performance and improvement.

  • Be the main incumbent for Tastro Health and Safety Protocol and Drive a "Safety First and "Right First Time" culture across the field operations backed up through plans and engagement with all various stakeholders.

  • Assist in all manner possible ways to deliver and bridge all field information to back office staff i.e DFE Process, ‘Evidence of work’ and ‘Where-abouts’ document in managing field staff.

  • Manage and lead Field staff responsible for ongoing civil's and cabling contracts.

  • Ensure accidents, incidents and near misses, quality failures and service deterioration trends are investigated competently and corrective action is taken where and when appropriate.

  • Through a close working relationship with the project team, identify at the earliest opportunity risks to delivering the projects/ work, client and/ or overhead cost impacting upon the project.

  • Manage the operational relationship with all clients, and have monitoring in place to ensure that client standards are adhered to and met.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a HSEQ (Health and Safety) Officer to join our team in Bradninch, Devon. This is an exciting, challenging and demanding role within the company, with opportunity to grow with the business.

The role will be a mix of office based work in Bradninch and attending build sites to carry out inspections and audits, along with providing HSEQ support to site and to the teams.

Job duties:

  • Support the implementation and management of the company's Integrated Management System

  • Support several projects and departments to meet the requirements of the Safety, Quality and Environment Management systems

  • Assist the site teams and managers by recognising hazards, seeking to minimise risks whilst creating, maintaining, and improving the health, safety, and environmental standards

  • Provide consistent and accurate HSEQ advice to employees

  • Provide support to business units on HSEQ initiatives

  • Provide support on HSEQ issues/problems.

  • Produce HSEQ reports monthly, identify trends and take proactive initiatives

  • Produce and communicate safety alerts/Toolbox Talks to promote learning and prevention

  • Carry out accident/incident investigations in a timely manner

  • Reporting to management on KPIs and any areas of concern

  • Identify root causes and accidents / incidents and produce safety alerts

  • Carry out internal and site based HSEQ inspections and audits

  • Produce/communicate safety alerts following incidents to promote learning and prevention

  • Maintain and identify training needs, carrying out training where required

Requirements:
Experience preferred, however willing to train the right candidates

  • Be prepared to undergo a DBS check.

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • NEBOSH Certificate in occupational Health & Safety / Construction Health & Safety

  • Environmental Management Qualification
